The cottage sleeps up to 14 guests and features a large lower-level "kid-cave" and rec room. Enjoy the sights and sounds of nature from the large upper and lower decks with tree-top views of the heavily wooded 2-acre property. Relax, roast marshmallows, and make memories after a long day of hiking by the oversized stone fire pit. This property is the ideal setting for your next extended family gathering or reunion with friends.

Bedroom 2 (second level)- Queen bed with premium sheets and blanket, duvet, and premium down-alternative pillows- sleeps 2

Guest bathroom (lower level) is shared by the rec room and has direct access to the bedroom. It has a tub/shower combo and two vanities.

Outdoor Amenities
Once Upon a Stream is situated on a private, wooded, two-acre lot and backs to a rushing mountain stream.
The large covered upper deck features a Jenn-Air gas grill, dining table, and Adirondack chairs
The lower deck has some additional seating and is popular with Yoga enthusiasts! Just off of the deck, is a large stone gathering area with stone fire pit.

Follow the stone/boulder walkway downhill to the stream. This path is the perfect place to take in a workout- its an easy walk, but makes for an intense jog up and downhill. Alternatively, venture down to the stream and sit and relax watching the kids play.
​
Our guests have access to all Sapphire Valley Resort amenities for $2/person/day (extra charge for golf, Skiing, snow-tubing, and zip-line) including the private and beautiful Fairfield Lake.
Also within walking distance of the cottage is Hogback Lake which is great for fishing off the dock, or kayaking and canoeing (you will need to provide the vessel).
Pets
Most dogs are welcome with owners' permission- we do charge a non-refundable $150 pet fee.
NO CATS- the owner is allergic to cats.
We provide a large dog crate, dog bed, and bowls. All pets must be current on shots and also on flea/tick prevention. We reserve the right to restrict certain breeds.
Parking
The gravel driveway is relatively flat, level, easy to navigate, and has room for multiple cars. Unlike many other mountain properties, the driveway is NOT steep and is easily accessible.
Suitability
All primary renters must be at least 25 years of age. Children and families are welcome. Absolutely no parties or large gatherings are permitted.
