Presenting Chapter One in our story. Once Upon a Stream sits on a private two-acre wooded lot and sleeps up to 14 guests. This storybook English cottage has three levels with 4 BR, 3.5 BA, and a large lower-level "kid cave" and rec room- perfect for all your Hansels and Gretels! Enjoy unique tree-top views from the deck and endless entertainment in our crystal-clear rushing mountain stream.

The area boasts four seasons of stunning picturesque scenery, fun, and adventure. Just over an hour west of Asheville, NC, and the magnificent Biltmore Estate, the cottages are in the heart of "waterfall land". With dozens of spectacular waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes and streams, countless miles of unbelievable hiking trails, challenging golf courses, and fabulous shopping and dining nearby, western North Carolina offers something for everyone... including your dog! We are PET-FRIENDLY and welcome most dogs. Guests of The Mountain Cottage also enjoy access to all of the Sapphire Valley Resort amenities including discounted rates for the Vordach Zip Line and Ski Sapphire Valley.
